Our New Addition!

We finally bought Kennedy a high chair. Actually it is a space saver high chair which I think is a lot better. It just hooks onto a chair and doesn't take up any extra space. Brandy introduced me to it and I think it is a great find. I need to make a list of all the things I would and wouldn't use for babies since some of my friends will be having some soon. Well, Kennedy sat in it for the first time the other day and she loved it. I gave her some baby finger food and she was just happy; unfortunately she didn't eat any of the food and the dogs got a great treat. I have a feeling she is going to be there new best friend.

Swim Lesson

Kennedy loves to swim. Today her swim teacher said she is one of the best because she can do everything. She floats on her front and back and goes underwater without crying. She is the youngest so I am assuming it is because she hasn't grasped the concept of fear like the others have. She is the only one in the class that floats on her back and sucks on her big toe at the same time. She is such a great multitasker; I am very proud of her.

Kennedy's New Pool

Kennedy loves the water so we set up a swimming pool in the back yard and she loves it. Her and I get in everyday and she just can't get enough. Look how cute she looks in one of her new bikini.

Kennedy's Doctors Appointment

Kennedy had her 6 month checkup at the Dr.'s office yesterday. WOW is she a growing little girl. The Dr. couldn't get over that she was only 6 months old. She weighed 21lbs which is in the 95th percentile(which means out of 100 babies only 5 of them are bigger than her). Length she is 28 inches 95th percentile. Head circumference 44cm 90th percentile. She is definitely growing. In the next 3 months we should expect the following:

She will get to a sitting position and pull to a standing position.

She will start to Crawl.

She will start to show separation and stranger anxiety


She will star to turn when her name is called (she already does this).


Looks like our hands will be full.



She is now eating baby food and this is me attempting to feed her for some reason she loves to jump around and move when I put the food in her mouth and it goes everywhere. Dan seems to be able to get it all in her mouth; I am not sure how he does it.

The Quilted Bear!!

Well my friends Heidi and Holly wanted to do the quilted bear booth and I said I would be happy to go in with them. It has been really fun to do crafts. I never thought I would love them so much. Below is our booth which we are still in the process of getting it all organized. I have done the picture frames, scrapbooks, journals and handbags. Heidi and Holly have done bows, flip flops, Hawaiian chocolates, key chains & towels. Here are some of the cute handbags that I got from China. These bag spell love one letter on each side. I love these.

FUN FRIDAY!!!

On Friday I met up with some of my coworkers for Fun Friday. When I was in the office we would have Fun Friday every Friday to celebrate the weekend. I really miss going into work and being around them. It was good to see them and can't wait for another Fun Friday.

Kennedy's First Trip to the Zoo

Kennedy went to her second swim lesson today. She had a lot of fun. She loves to float on her back and front and doesn't mind going all the way under. Everyone thought she was adorable. Below are pictures of her right before we left for the pool. After swimming Kennedy went to Hogle Zoo for the first time. We went with my sister and her kids Mallory, Lillian and Trey. We had a good time. Kennedy really loved the monkeys and wanted to touch them just like she does the dogs. Doesn't she look cute in her shades????

My Poor Ring!

What the heck is happening to me first the BBQ now my Ring. Everything comes in threes so I am scared to see what the third thing is. Well, I had to get my ring cut off today. I went to Tresors which is the BEST jewelers ever and not just because they helped me today I have loved them for a long time. At some points of the process it hurt really bad. I asked if he took off many rings he said no he has only done 2-3 his whole career and most people just go to the emergency room. I am so mad about my ring but I need to start looking at the good and bad in things in every situation. The bad part of the Jewelers is I have to get my ring redone and re sized. The good part is I found a new ring that I really want and it only costs $35,000. What a great deal!!

The Ring Saga Continues!

I went to lunch with my coworkers today and we attempted to get my ring off. NO LUCK!!! Looks like I am heading to the Jewelers!!

We have a BIG problem!!

Well today I decided to put on my wedding ring. I haven't worn it in a while because I think it is a size 5 and since I was just pregnant it wouldn't fit. Well I decided to make it fit and now I can't get it off and my finger is turning purple off and on. I have tried butter, baby oil, lotion, cold water and putting my hand above my head and nothing has worked. My finger is so swollen that nothing helps. So I think I will be making a trip to the Jewelers to get it cut off.

I HATE LAUNDRY!!!!

I HATE laundry. I have put it off for at least a month. This is about 25% of the laundry that I have to do. Where's Andrea when I need her? Anyone want to help??

New Iphone

I can't wait for the new Iphone. I have had my phone for about 3 years now which is a huge accomplishment so it is about time for a new phone. Luckily they have dropped the price significantly so it is affordable. Dan was going to get me an Iphone for Mother's Day but I decided it would be better to get a BBQ (you can see in previous post how well that worked for me). Well I can't wait for July 11th.

Kennedy's First Swim Lesson

Kennedy had her first swim lesson on Saturday and she had a great time. The weather was not that good so she was pretty cold. I put her under the water three times and she didn't cry at all. She loves being in the water so hopefully next week will be warmer!

I love to do funny faces to Kennedy. She loves it!!! She is now getting old enough to attempt to copy my actions. She is such a HAPPY baby.

Our Stairs are Done!!!

Thanks Dan!!! Our stairs are finally done off of our deck! Now all I need is a railing. Due to the fact we had no railing on our deck my poor BBQ had to pay the price. Hopefully we can get the railing guy out this week to get it done.

Being a Mom is definitely the HARDEST job out there!!!

Never in a million years would I have thought being a mom would be so hard. When do I get a break? How in the world can people have more than one child? Kennedy is now rolling all over the place so she requires a lot more of my time. Gone are the days where she just stays in one place and doesn't move. On the other hand there are so many things that I love about her getting older and I can't wait for the future. MOTHERS DAY should be everyday!!!

I see the video below and I realize being a mom could be a lot harder. This mother is amazing!

Here Comes TROUBLE!!!!!

Kennedy rolled for the first time a month or so ago. It was an exciting day in the Udy household. Now she has moved from one roll to several rolls. Now she rolls from one side of the room to the other. This is not good. She is now getting into everything. She has just stepped it up another notch. It is fun to see her grow but she is just getting too big too fast and it is making me very SAD.

Well as you probably know I really miss China; mainly for the shopping but also for the entertainment other cultures bring. My old cell mate (coworker we shared an office) sent me this video of a train in China and it couldn't describe the life style any better. Actually when we were in the Hong Kong airport patiently waiting our turn to check in a Chinese lady just walked right in front of us and didn't care that we had been waiting. Enjoy the video!!!
