Kennedy's 16 month Dr.'s Appointment

Kennedy had a Dr.'s appointment on March 17th St. Pattys Day. Well it is no surprise she is a BIG girl. She weighed 32 pounds and I can't remember the exact height but she is tall. The Dr. put her on 2% milk instead of whole milk. Too funny!!!

She has this horrible cough since about November and we have not been able to get rid of it. She has been on several antibiotics which never worked along with countless other things. They believe it is some kind of asthma but asthma medicine doesn't work (go figure). So after the doctors appointment we had to go up to Davis Hospital to get an xray of her chest and sinuses to see if there was something there. A little bit off the record. Davis Hospital has to be the worst hospital I have ever been to. I would never go there for ANYTHING!!! They have no clue what is going on and they are so unorganized. (Sorry if that offended anyone but I wouldn't even want to go there if they offered free health care.)

After the doctors appointment we decided to hit up Cafe Rio since I had a FREE meal. I felt bad because she had a rough time at the doctors with all the shots. So I decided to take her out. By the way she is just like her mom. She LOVES strawberries!!! Oh by the way when I got my free meal they didn't yell FREE MEAL!!! I was very disappointed.

After are "fun" trip to the hospital we had to stop by the pet store to pick up some dog food. We took her around to see the animals. She had a good time.

My New Bike...

Kennedy is growing so fast we decided to get her a bike. She liked it at the store but once we brought it home she would much rather push it. So she threw a little fit and Daddy stopped helping. We also realized when we got home we forgot to get her a helmet. It will be coming soon. Can't wait to see her reaction when we make her wear that. I can already see a tantrum coming on.

Girls on the loose. Can I tell you I live in the BEST neighborhood. It is full of young families with the exception of one house. In the summer we hangout on our lawn with everyone and let the kids just play. It is a lot of fun. I can't wait to have our yard in so Kennedy can run around in it. There is a house for sale in the neighborhood so if you are looking to move it is going for a GREAT price and you can be our neighbor which is PRICELESS!!!

Here is Kennedy getting a ride with Cambree and Kylee. They are the cute neighbor girls that we just love. We have a great time with them.

Cambree is 4 years old and weighs 4 pounds less than Kennedy and Kennedy and her are almost the same height.

Last Wednesday my mom came over to hang out with Kennedy while I did some house work. It was such a nice day out I joined them for a little bit.

Wow who knew that having a kids would destroy so much of your stuff. We moved into our new house about a year ago and there has been so much stuff trashed and broken. The biggest thing is Kennedy use to bit on things so our end table has bit marks and her crib is full of bite marks. We bought a nice crib because we thought it could last a long time but geez after about 6 months the niceness was gone. I however have learned a valuable lesson. DON'T buy anything nice until they are old enough not to ruin it.

Anyway, on Tuesday Kennedy broken a glass pie pan, on Wednesday a glass and on Thursday a lamp.

Grandma bought Kennedy her first Dilly Bar and boy did she enjoy every bite.

Soup Soup & More Soup

I made some homemade vegetable beef soup and Kennedy enjoyed it a little too much. She looks like a pumpkin. A cute pumpkin that is.

oooooohhhhhhh......

Kennedy is such a silly girl. She thinks and acts like she is so much older. She wont let anyone feed her. If you want to give her food you must hand it to her and let her grab it and she will put it in her mouth herself. She also wont let you hold her hand when she walks because she thinks she is old enough to do it on her own. She is just too funny.

Lately she has been fighting naps. I put her down and she thinks she shouldn't have to go down so she throws all of her blankets and pillow out of the bed. Then she starts screaming and gabbing and I know there is no way she is going to bed. So of course she is tired so this is what she does:

Grandma and Me...

Every week my Mom comes over to give me a little break. She usually just hangs out at the house so I can get some house work done. This time she took Kennedy to McDonald's and a couple errands. Looks like Kennedy had fun.

Breathe......

Yesterday Kennedy & I went to the Clearfield Swimming Pool (it was the only one we could find open). When we first got there and I saw the pool I thought it looked GREAT and Kennedy would have a lot of fun. Well she did have a lot of fun but her mother almost had a heart attack. The kids part wasn't very shallow and Kennedy thinks she is so big she can go anywhere. So she would walk around and then fall in and go completely underwater so I had to grab her. She would go under the waterfalls that were taking me out and I knew it would just wipe her out but she keep trying to go over to them. This happened often. After about 1/2 hour I knew my heart couldn't handle much more so we left. Kennedy was not happy with me at all. She loved playing but she didn't understand the dangers. She would get out of the pool and i would follow her then she would run to jump back in and it happen to be in the deep end. It was just too much. So if anyone knows a good fun pool where the water is less than a foot deep let me know. I think I can handle that.

It took me about an hour to calm down. It just made me a complete reck. We take swim lessons at Layton Surf and Swim and never have I been so worried. I am soooo Lame!!!

Potty Time...

I have decided it is about time to start teaching Kennedy about going to the bathroom in the toilet. She has started playing in the toilet and it is driving me nuts. So i have implemented TIMEOUT!! It is working OK but it is very sad to see her cry and be so unhappy there. I am sure it will be a lot better in the future if I teach her now. When I say NO i mean NO.

As you can see potty training is not going too well; she thinks its a hat!!!
