My first Ponytail

About 2 weeks ago I gave Kennedy her first ponytail. And this is what she thought about it:

It's a Big Day in the Udy House!!!

Today is a great day. Kennedy went to the potty for the first time on the big girl potty. I noticed she was going to the bathroom in the tub again and I yelled no and then I put her on the toilet. At first she really didn't care but then she wanted the magazine and then she finally went. I sang, danced and clapped for her. She thought it was pretty cool. She also attempted to wipe herself which was very cute. I hope there is many more of these moments to come!!

Move Over Dan the Fire Chiefs in Town!!!

We are so proud of Dan. He passed his EMT tests and now is officially an EMT. He will start the fire academy in August so I am excited but will be even more excited when he is done and has a job doing it. I think he will be a great fire fighter. He stopped by Layton Firehouse to see his teacher for a minute and picked up this fire hat for her. She loves it. She thinks she is hot stuff!!

Crazy Dog...

Dan and I were working out in our yard trying to get it ready to put in the sprinkler system. Mercedes wanted to be out there with us but couldn't get to us so she was trying to climb underneath the fence. She was crying like a little baby. I wish I had videoed it because it was really funny.

This is what happens when you don't take a nap like you are suppose to...

Happy Easter..

Wow the day finally arrived. We went to my moms house for an Easter egg hunt and dinner. Kennedy finally had gotten down what it was all about. She would pick up the eggs and put them in her basket and continue on to the next. It was very cute. She is getting so big it is exciting and sad at the same time.

Right before this picture was taken Dan was getting mad at me for taking so many pictures. As you can tell in the picture he is very excited.

The Easter Bunny..

On Saturday we had two Easter egg hunts. This one was at our neighbors and my friend dressed up as the Easter bunny and hid eggs. Kennedy wanted nothing to do with him but it was sure fun.

The fun continues..

Saturday was a busy day for us. First, the easter egg hunt at Barnes Park then swim lessons. I didn't get in the pool this time for swim lesson my mom did.

Kennedy did fine until she had to go in the deep end and then she freaked out. She doesn't like to be held in the pool becuase she thinks she is a big girl and can do whatever she wants. So she screamed and screamed and screamed.

Ready....Set.....Go..

Today we did our first city Easter Egg Hunt and it was a success. We went to the hunt with our friends Ian, Kirstin and their cute little girl Brielle. I can't believe how many people showed up. Luckily we were there early and we were able to get Kennedy some eggs.

The Easter egg hunt was fun. It was such a rush I can't even remember if I carried Kennedy or Dan did. I just ran and went for the eggs for Kennedy. I love that kind of stuff and I can't wait to do it again next year.

Here is Kennedy's eggs. Brielle was in the picture but she took off before I could get it snapped. I wish I would have got one of them together. Kennedy and Brielle are going to be in a dance class together which I think will be a lot of fun. I am excited for them.

Good Old Swim Lessons..

Kennedy loves the water and this swim lesson was no exception. She actually went crazy and was walking everywhere in the pool. She kept falling all the way under and didn't even cry which I thought was impressive. She is Miss Independent. She didn't want me holding her even when we were in the deep end playing games. I didn't realize how much she has grown until I put on her swimsuit. I bought about 8 swim suits last year and none of them fit now. So I went to old navy this weekend and bought her a new swimsuit which she will wear this Saturday.

Congrats Dan!!

Wow what a crazy fun weekend. On Friday Dan finished his EMT class and passed with flying colors. Then on Saturday he had to take one of the two state tests. He doesn't find out for a week or two on whether or not he passed but I am sure he did. Dave, Brandy and Jaxsen came down for the weekend which is always fun to have them.

On Saturday we had Kennedy's gym class and swim lessons. After that I was ready for a nap and so was she; I think she slept 3 hours that day. Brandy and I went and did a little shopping for the kids which is always fun. Then at 6pm we had a BBQ with the family which was really fun because we played Rock Band and just got to enjoy everyones company. Then Sunday we had an omelet breakfast. Later that day my dad came over for a BBQ and he helped me get my garden started. Wow I am exhausted. I will post pictures later because of course I took pictures of all the events :)

Bye Bye My Gym...

This Saturday was Kennedys last day at My Gym. I decided that it was best to do other things. She is going to start Dance lessons and she has swim lessons and I would like to put her in gymnastics as well. Plus it is going to be summer and we will spend many days at different parks. It will be sad not to go anymore because I have met some great people but I think it would just be too much to do it. Here are some pictures of her enjoying her last day!

Same old...

There hasn't been anything too excited since the last post. Life is same old as usual which is a good thing in these times. Things will be getting exciting here in the next couple hours because Dave, Brandy and Jaxsen are coming down(unless the weather is bad). I can't wait. It will be so fun to let the kids play and I can be around adults!!! I love being a stay at home mom but it is hard when there is little adult interaction. The summer will be a lot better because we will be able to go outside and play with all the other neighbors and the gossip sessions will begin. Hahaha.

Lock Your Doors!!

Today has been an event full day and it is only 1 o'clock. I got to sleep in until 8am which was nice. So I bagged the day at the gym. I really wasn't in the mood. The morning started out pretty much the same. I went to get the mail from yesterday and it was basically ads. Well the place that I love to grocery shop is Dans food. Well it turned into Dicks Market which is great because I use to go there all the time when I was in centerville. It has the best produce. i will shop Walmart for other items that are cheaper and that I can price match. Well today was the grand opening of Dicks so I decided to head down there because I was planning on going grocery shopping today anyway. Well did we get a treat not only did they have great deals they also had a bunch of free snacks that Kennedy loved. Anyway if you haven't been there you should go check it out.

So we got home from the store and I decided I really need to clean my fridge so that is what I did. Then all of a sudden i hear helicopters. So I went outside to check it out. There was channel 2 & 5. I thought it was a little weird because of where we live. So I called Dan to ask him if he had heard anything he said no. I turned on the news and went to the web...Nothing. I thought maybe something special was going on at the school because on my way to the store there was a firetruck there. So Kennedy and I went outside and took some pictures and was waving at the helicopters. Well then about 45 minutes later on ksl there was a news story about a high speed chase and the school right by me was on lock down and one guy was still on the loose. I thought AHHHHH and I called Dan and read him the story and then I told him that I needed to lock the back door. As I write this there are still helicopters flying around. Hope they catch the guy soon. Rumor has it he has a shotgun and alot of streets near us are blocked off. SCARY!!!
