My Grandma passed away two days ago and she will be missed by many. We all had great memories of her. She is in a better place and our family now has another angel watching over us!

POCATELLO –– Bonnie Jean Farmer Nielson, 79, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008 in her home.
She was born September 15, 1929, Pocatello, Idaho to Roland Martin and Bertha Gittins Farmer. She was raised in McCammon and later moved to Pocatello where she graduated from Pocatello High School.
She married Arthur H Nielson Jr. on August 13, 1950 in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on October 11, 1957.
Bonnie was an active member of the LDS Pocatello East Stake Second Ward serving in various callings in Relief Society, Young Women, and the Primary. She loved temple work and was faithful in temple attendance, and also served ten years in name extraction for the Family History Center. For two years she and her husband were service missionaries.
She was an avid gardener and won city beautification awards for her yard. Her life was centered on caring for her home and family. She was an extraordinary cook and homemaker. Her life was spent in quiet service to her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Arthur; four children, Kathleen (Blane) Roskelley, of Centerville, Utah, RaeJean (Tom) Eisenhauer of St. Louis, Missouri, Gordon Arthur (Sally) Nielson, of Pocatello, and Cheri (Paul) Starkie of West Jordan, Utah, her sisters, Raeola Robinson of Salt Lake City, and Lauana Young of Sacramento, 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 8, 2008 at 11:00am in the Pocatello Second Ward Chapel 135 S. 7th Ave. Friends may call Sunday evening, Dec. 7, from 5 to 7pm at the Cornelison-Henderson Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello and at the chapel 10:00-10:30am prior to the service Monday. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Pocatello. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the LDS Church Missionary Fund or the Perpetual Education Fund. Hey Laurie! Grandma was great wasn't she! I just read your post and of course I am thankful for cousins and I actually accidentally did forget them. I love you. You really are great and I am lucky to have you.
