I think I might be the Worst Mother...

Wow this is a really hard topic to talk about because the vivid memories of the accidents still haunt me. I don't know what it is lately but luck has not been on my side. The other day I went to office max to get an ink cartridge refilled. Kennedy was so sick of sitting in the basket. Well when i was getting ready to pay she stood up and tipped over in the cart. She landed right on her head and onto her back. I tried to catch her but it didn't happened. I felt so horrible. she was crying and crying. She finally calmed down but then I started crying because i felt so bad. She then hugged me and tried to comfort me. She does this funny things with her eyes that she does to us when she wants to make us laugh. I think she was trying to comfort me when i should have been comforting her. I felt so horrible.

Well to make things even worse on Monday I was walking Kennedy in her stroller and i was waiting to cross the street so I looked over for this truck to pass. Well she had hopped out and was walking across the road. The truck barely stopped and she was about 6inches-a foot away from getting ran over. I screamed and screamed. It scared me so bad. I just feel like the worse mom.

It is wierd when situations happen like this it is like everything is in slow motion and I feel like I dont react quick enough. Well I hope the bad luck streak has ended. I know things come in 3's but I really hope this doesn't!!

It finally happened!

Well Kennedy loves to color but I never do it with her here. She is always coloring at the gym day care. So I finally broke out the crayons. Well this is what happens when you don't watch her every second. She also got the oven but I didn't get a picture of that.

Week In Review

I have a feeling there will be a lot less blogging during the summer. Kennedy seems to be an outdoors little girl and just wants to go go go. Memorial weekend was pretty much a bust. Dan had to work all weekend. However, on Monday Kennedy and I went to the new bountiful bubble with my mom. It was really nice! I couldn't believe all the moms with little kids and they were wearing bikinis and had 6 pack stomachs. What is up with that? Looks like I need to be doing more sit ups. Later that night we went to my moms for a BBQ. Dan was able to be with us which was nice.

Him & Kennedy enjoyed some ice cream together.

On Tuesday we went to the Tracy Avery with Kirstin & Brielle. They girls had a good time. They were a little too young to enjoy the bird show(they wanted to run everywhere). Kennedy loved playing/harassing the birds.

Thursday Claudia and Tim had their little baby boy Ethan J Udy. He is very cute and small and makes me miss having Kennedy that age. Kennedy tried to feed Ethan a french fry.

Wednesday,and Friday were pretty much the same nothing eventful.

Last week we got our sod in. We are still working on the sprinklers. They were blowing out the lines and Kennedy and the neighbor boys thought it was time to play. Again, I really didn't care that she got wet because she was having a lot of fun.

Here we go again.

Kennedy has been at it again. She now had gotten to Dan's iPhone. She got mine last year and put it in the dishwasher. This time i think it she hit it with a wooden spoon. It's not like we don't watch our stuff. She is so tall she can reach stuff on the counter and now she climbs up on chairs and then onto the table or counters. It is getting hard. However, she is learning time out. So if we tell her to go to time out she will walk over to her wall and sit down and then whine. It is actually cute. It is amazing how kids learn. It is fun to watch.

Muddy Mess!

Putting in a yard is a pain in the butt. It is exhausting. That is why i haven't updated my blog in a while we have been too busy. We finally got our sod laid. Thanks to all our friends. But there is still mud and water that occurs during the process and Kennedy of course found it. I think I might be a pretty laid back parent because I really didn't care that she was getting messy. She was having a good time.

What a Week..

We have had a crazy week. We have been working every night on our sprinkling system. Then Dan's friend that works for a landscape company had some extra sod that he gave us. Which we are very grateful for. So we had to hurry and get everything graded for it. We were able to put in the grass in the park strips and tomorrow a lot of people are coming over to finish the rest. I can't wait. Dan has been working very hard to get it done. I know it will look good. Then it is on to the back yard. AHHH!!

Repeat

It was a repeat day but worse. Kennedy is getting in her bottom molar now so she is getting in 3 molars at one time.Kennedy didn't eat or drink all day. Finally when she was gagging and throwing up with Dan; he said she needs to go to the Doctor. So at 6pm I drove her up to Grow Up Great. Her fever was about 102 again. She was burning up and she was very lethargic. They took a strep test but it came back negative. They said they were going to send it in to the lab because sometimes the quick test isn't accurate. She said her throat looked really red. The nurse shoved Tylenol down her mouth. She screamed and screamed but an hour later she was happy. She actually was enjoying life again. She ate her daddy's chips and salsa and loved it. She was worried I would get mad but I didn't care because she needed to eat and whatever she wanted was fine with me. I gave her a bath and of course I am so dumb I gave her a really warm bath. You aren't suppose to do that when they have a fever. Oops!! After the bath she started to not feel well again. So I am hoping for a good day tomorrow but only time will tell.

She however got to see her boyfriend today. Dan's friend Jeremy came over to help us finish up the sprinklers. She just loves him. She doesn't like men and when they are around she just screams but for some reason every time he has been around (which isn't a lot) she just smiles and gives him the look. Plus she likes to yell at him too. It is very cute.

Wow

Wow is about all I can say to describe my day today. Kennedy was up all night because she is teething. This morning I took her temperature and it was at 99.5. I gave her medicine. She whined and cried all day long. She wouldn't take a nap. She was in such pain. She is getting her left molar in. She already has her right one coming in too. It is so hard to see your child in so much pain that you can't do anything to help her. This evening I took her temperature again and it is up to 102. So I will continue to check on her during the night.

Yesterday Kennedy and I went to the grocery store and she saw a girl eating grapes out of the bag. She said to her NO NO and then wagged her finger at her. They just laughed and said "she busted us." I am not sure if she really knew what they were doing but it was funny anyway.

Another crazy thing is Kennedy loves to pick scabs. I know that it is gross but she will say owee and just pick at it. It is gross and cute at the same time. She is learning so many things its amazing to see her grow.

Mothers Day...

Mothers day wasn't too relaxing but my sprinkling system got closer to being done. So that is good. We didn't do anything too much. My family came over for a BBQ that night which is fun to see Kennedy interacting more and more with her cousins. She loves to be around kids.

I did however go on a walk by myself and it was nice to have some alone time. I think I might see if Dan will let me sleep in next Sunday since I didn't get to this Sunday.

Being a Mom is the best and hardest job in the world. I am so lucky to have such a great little girl. I love her to pieces!!

Potty Time

I am not sure who potty training is harder for Kennedy or I. It is very hard to work in time for it. I know I need to get better and I will. I bought a box of laughy taffy's from Sams club that are on the bathroom sink so every time she goes she will get one. There are two problems with that the minute she gets on the toilet she screams yum yumms. The second problem is Mommy and Daddy think that every time they go to the bathroom they deserve a treat too. Needless to say, we are almost out of the candy :(

Whew.......

Wow what a day. First off I went to the grocery store 3 times. I always forget stuff even with a list (if i remember to do one and/or bring it). Then it was more work in the yard. We are pretty much done with the front so we were doing some fill in work. I need to post a picture of the progress. Kennedy loved playing in the dirt and helping in her special little way. She did however have a couple of falls. She fell off the stairs twice. Luckily, she wasn't hurt too bad. The last fall was on a chair and I let her dad get her. She was crying and just wanted me so he put her down. Then she stomped over to me and yelled owee (however you spell it). It was quite funny because she was saying it like listen mom I have an owee and you didn't help me. It was very cute.

During our last run to sams club; she has gotten so use to going with me she loves to give the guy the reciept when we leave and can't wait to see the smiley face. However, this last time the guy didn't give her one. Bah humbug.

Oh and I hit the stroller again because Dan put it right behind my car. STOP IT DAN!!!

Gone All Day...

Today started off by me heading to take a type test for the post office. Missy watched Kennedy while I went and then I watched her kids while she went. Then I headed up to my friend Brookes house. I haven't seen her forever. We use to be roommates in SLC. It was great to see her and catch up on old times. She got to meet Kennedy for the first time. I can't wait to do it more in the future. There are certain people that you loose touch with but come back in your life at the perfect time. Thanks for a GREAT time Brooke!!!

Oh NO I'm turning into my Mother!!!

Today started out the same as usual. We however we didn't hit the grocery store that happened later in the day. When I pulled out today to go to the gym I hit the stroller and the day before I hit Kennedy's trike. Luckily nothing happened to them but the BAD part is I am turning into my mom. She use to always hit everything with her car. AHHHH!!!

It was a rough day today because Kennedy's molars are breaking through and she has had a fever and been crying because she is in so much pain. I really hope she starts feeling better for her sake and my sanity.

just another day..

Today was pretty much the same old. Went to the gym then to the grocery store. I can't seem to go a couple days without going to the store. Kennedy & I just played outside for a little bit. My mom came over to watch Kennedy for a minute while I got dinner ready and did a little bit of cleaning. We had tin foil dinner done on the grill; which was good. I haven't had those in a while. Then Dan continued working on the sprinkling system. Thank goodness he has such great friends to help. Thanks Dan for all your hard work!!!

I put Kennedy down for bed at 8:30 and she started crying at 9. I would usually just give her a bottle and let her go back to bed but I didnt. I wanted to just hold her. I miss her being a little girl. She has grown up so fast I just miss her cuddling with me.

A little bit of a scare

Last night Dan was getting Kennedy ready for bed and noticed some bumps all over her stomach. So I called are friend/neighbor Holly to come look at it since she is a nurse. Dan and I thought it was then chicken pox. I thought since she has been in the gym daycare that it could be a possibility. When Holly came over and looked at it she said it was from a different virus that she had or has. That was a relief. She said to just keep and eye on it.

Today was pretty much the same routine get up go to the gym. After the gym we made a trip to the grocery store and got beef for $1.15 a pound. So of course I stocked up. Then we came home and Kennedy took a nap while I started on my "to do list." It seems like to do list just grow with stupid stuff that needs to be done. Later during the day I was playing outside with the neighborhood kids helping them with their gymnastics. We have some really cute neighbor kids that are a lot of fun. I love my neighborhood.

We had a softball game at 7:30. Kennedy doesn't like us playing because she hates the fact she can't be next to us all the time. My thigh still hurts from last week when I pulled it. I think I will need to take next week off to heal it.

We got our butt kicked this game. Maybe we will win the next one!!!

Oh and I went back to Dicks again to get more $1.15 beef :)

Journal

OK I have decided to change the way I am doing my blog. I have the blog, a journal and a photo book (that is way way way behind). I just cant keep up. So I am going to combine my journal and my blog in one so I can get it put into a book and that is it. So you will probably be bored, offend, grossed out or think it is just too much information by my posts but I am doing it all for Kennedy. I want Kennedy to be able to have the memories of the good, bad and the ugly. So I figured I will just do it in one shot. So a lot of my blogs will start out like.... Today we.... or we did nothing today or today we watched TV all day ( yea right).

So this is just a warning :)

{Daycare Brawl}

Today Kennedy went to the gym daycare. I was doing my usually workout activities. I always check on Kennedy through the window. When I checked on her she was sitting next to one of the daycare ladies; she was punching the crap out of this little boy. I would say he was about 3 years old. Then all of a sudden I saw him punching her. I debated on going in there and telling her to stop but 1) if i went in there she would cry and I wouldn't be able to run on the treadmill 2) she really needed to get a little taste of her own medicine. So I watched for a second and then went on with my own business. I was impressed she didn't even cry but now she has welts all over her forehead. I hope she learned her lesson. We will be going over to the neighbors today so we will see if she still feels the need to punch.

Oh my little girl is growing up. The past week Kennedy has "picked" up a really big bad habbit. She likes to pick her nose. She thinks it is very fun to do. I would post some pictures but I am sure that is the last thing you want to see.
